In this session, People Can Fly will show you how they developed character skills with Blueprints using the Gameplay Ability System in Unreal Engine for Outriders: Worldslayer.
They’ll dive into the workings of the Gameplay Ability System, demonstrating how easy it is to manage dependencies between skills and how to prepare a skill to facilitate the work of other teams (such as VFX and sound).
Attendees will learn about the pros and cons of the system, as well as how to augment it and what to watch out for.
The session will include examples of things People Can Fly were unable to implement using the system and how they hacked it.
