Experimenting takes a large part of my freetime , and MLK furniture was one of the subjects I wanted to work on and to base my experiment on.
Arthur is the Hands and the Head behind the strong and very unique design of MLK furniture, his choice of lines and material is always inspiring.
The Ne600 is made of brass and stainless steel that still keeps some little marks of Arthur’s craftsmanship.
I started exploring shading and lighting on this Industrial design piece and as the inspiration comes, we decided to make a full video out of these random 3d scenes.
Arthur gave me full freedom of process and creativity.
This project even helped me refine my personal workflow and improve my process.
This project was done with Blender 4.0, rendered in Cycles using AGX workflow.
Compositing is done in After Effects.
Technical details :
The cloth simulation is done using Blender’s native cloth simulation and Geometry nodes.
Rendered on a single RTX 4090 GPU, took between 1 and 2 minutes per frame.
All shaders are Procedurally done using native Blender shader nodes.
