Watch this recorded session from Unreal Fest Seattle 2024 in which engineering consulting firm WSP Canada presents a cloud-hosted real-world windfarm project used to engage stakeholders and the public.
The team explains how Unreal Engine makes it possible to create 40km by 40km areas with satellite imagery that enables people to see the project from any location.
The visualization can be used to review various elements of the real-world project, including proposed layout variants, existing vegetation, day/night for light impact (obstruction lights), differences in volume caused by blade rotation speed, wind direction, seasonal changes, geolocated shadows, and strobing effects on houses.
